BOV
Bag on valve Separates the product from the propellant and is considered a green alternative package. Because no liquified flammable gas is used the start up cost are much more affordable.
The Process:
- The bag on valve assembly is pushed into the top can opening
- The bag on valve is lifted from the container while compressed air is injected around the bag. Once the pressure reaches the desired amount the valve is sealed onto the container
- The product is injected through Valve Stem into the bag expanding it inside the container.
- The Final package Pressure is Checked and recorded
- Actuator and Cap is Placed
- When the end user presses the actuator the product is dispensed via the compressed air around the bag squeezing the contents out through the actuator
Conventional Aerosol
- Conventional Aerosol Uses product mixed with a vapor gas or liquified gas as the propellant.
- The product is filled through the opening at the top of the container
- The aerosol valve with or without dip-tube is place into the opening
- The aerosol valve is crimped onto the container with our without vacuum depending on the customers’ needs
- The vapor or liquid gas is injected through the valve stem into the can mixing with the product
- The weight is verified
- The sealed can is processed through a hot water bath for burst testing
- A leak detector checks the cans for leaks
- The actuator is placed
- The cap is placed
- When the end user presses the actuator the product is dispensed via the vapor or liquified propellant mixed with the product
Decide which type of package you need for your product.
Conventional Aerosol Using Vapor or Liquified Propellant
- If the gas is needed as a solvent for your product to work
- If you need the gas to break up your product as it sprays
- If your product contains solids or particles that could clog the spray tip

Once you decide which package you want to use:
- Contact an Aerosol or bag on valve component supplier to test your product out for compatability and shelf life
- The Supplier will Test your product for 30 /60 /90 days to see if there are any issues with material compatibility or shelf life
- Supplier options: Aptar, Summit, Lindal, Precision Valve, Power Container
- Once your testing is complete or if you already know your product will work and you know which direction you want to go, then contact the MBC Sales team for a quote.
We offer a 1 year manufactures warranty except for common wear items which are standard maintenance parts which we call out in the manual.
